Altar in meinem neuen Zuhause :: 16 Jahre lebte ich in meinem kleinen Hexenhäuschen nahe OttersbergAfter living and working in the northwest of Germany for more than 30 years, I made the decision to return to my home state of Brandenburg in 2022. One of the reasons was to live close to my wonderful granddaughters so that I could accompany them and support the young family.
I now live in Eberswalde, the district town of the Barnim district in the north-east of the state of Brandenburg, near Berlin. It's also known as the forest town, because it's surrounded by woodland - the Barnim Nature Park to the south and the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve with the Plagefenn nature reserve to the north. When I look out of the windows of my beautiful apartment, I can see the Barnim Nature Park, the movement of the sun and moon and the seasonal changes. A wild little garden behind the house, which I am allowed to use, completes my delight. I feel at home here in Waldstadt. I have been part of Sascha Lej's Eberswalde Voice Dance Choir since September 2023. I really appreciate the high quality and friendly atmosphere in this choir; it's a real pleasure to learn new things here.Songcatcher & friends: "Between the Stars & the Sea"The CD3 project is a done deal!
Last year, wonderful journeys took me to places of longing in Japan, Scotland, Ireland, Vietnam and Sweden. In Ireland, I promised the goddess Brigid that I would bring another CD with international chants and songs into the world. And so it will happen! In August 2023, I surprised my long-time musical companion, the poet, writer and musician Duke Meyer, with this news - and we immediately started thinking about the new project in the studio. The original core CD team quickly came together again, and I'm delighted about that.
10 years have now passed since the release of the second CD "Lieder zwischen Himmel & Erde". We are all older and have become so much better and more experienced: Whether it's Duke's studio technical capabilities, Katha's photography & design, Christian's mastering or my vocal development. I've also received invigorating spiritual and practical support from Curtis, Margot and Martin, my webmaster.
And now to the most important thing:
At the spring equinox, I will be launching a private crowdfunding to finance the production; information will come in the next newsletter. I'm really excited about how everything is coming together and very much looking forward to what's to come!
